The Coast North of Nha Trang
The ride north from Nha Trang was idyllic, but very hot.
Shrimp Farming
This area was used for many small shrimp farms.
Rotating paddles are used to aerate the water
The ride was too hot for some, and we ended up on the coach to finish the
journey
Dai Lanh Fishing Village
This was a good place to stop for lunch
Afternoon Ride into Quy Nhon
Fishing is the key to this area
Memorial to the Son My (My Lai) Massacre
Son My was the site of a massacre of local villagers by the
Americans in the Vietnam war - more than 500 villagers were killed, mostly
in the hamlet of My Lai (which is where the memorial is)
Ride On Towards Hoi An
The ride on to Hoi An was back on Highway 1, and not
particularly pleasant, but there was at least some picturesque countryside
along the way
