The photographs below were taken on the Scottish mainland, on
the drive over, and back.
Overlooking Lock Awe from the Pass of Brander
We travelled back in July on the ferry from Lochmaddy, on North Uist, to
Uig on the island of Skye.
The 'Rainbow Bridge', over the Kyle of Lochalsh, links the Island of Skye
to the mainland. Originally, and very unpopularly, it was a toll
bridge, but the Scottish Parliament purchased it in December 2004, ending
the toll.
Eilean Donan Castle, on Loch Duich near Dornie, is one of the highlands
many 'picture book' castles
These photographs of Glen Coe were taken from the visitors centre.
Although the centre itself was very busy, a vantage-point gives
uncluttered views of the glen.
